Our client, an established, large and stable company, is looking to grow their sales division in Cape Town.

Bring your sales, planning, pricing or maintenance project execution expertise pertaining to anti-wear, -abrasion and -corrosion solutions to services the needs of heavy industry clients.

Industries served include power generation, petrochemical plants, steel making, mineral processing, water and wastewater treatment as well as offshore and marine engineering

Position details:

The ideal incumbent will look as follows:

- Has experience selling maintenance and refurbishment services in an engineering environment, preferably in the corrosion protection industry, servicing national and multi-national clients.

- Has knowledge, skills and experience in selling technical services and projects (not products).

- Has commercial savvy, is technically literate and has a proven record in technical sales.

- Has experience selling, planning, pricing or executing maintenance projects on client sites across Southern Africa.

- Has a basic understanding of various plant operations and industrial processes such as in minerals processing, petroleum refining, steel making, power generation, water and wastewater treatment, offshore & marine engineering and similar heavy industry.

- Preferably has an understanding of corrosion degradation mechanisms and corrosion control by means of use of barrier coatings.

- Preferably received formal sales training from a reputably training provider.

- Is a reputable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable person, with an unblemished reputation for integrity, well-groomed, professional in appearance and well-presented.

- Has high energy levels, self-confidence and motivation.

- Is medically and physically fit and able to perform site inspections at height and in confined spaces.

- Is computer literate with good MS Excel skills.

- Preferably has a tertiary qualification in a related field.

- Has an unendorsed driver’s license, valid passport and clean criminal record

The company will also consider non-sales people but with high-level plant maintenance engineering background at a major industrial plant.

Remuneration

· Basic salary commensurate with experience + structured sales commission.

· Medical fund contribution, provident fund contribution & company car or car allowance.
